Apply Operations/Overlays to Recently Added items

I believe this is a planned feature, but it hasn't been formally requested.
The ability to apply operations and overlays to items added in the last day (for example) so that incremental overlay/operations can be applied rather than having to update each item on each run.
I believe there are also plans to split operations (and potentially overlays) to make them apply in batches. For example:
Monday: Apply operations/overlays to items starting A-G
Tuesday: Apply operations/overlays to items starting H-M
Wednesday: Apply operations/overlays to items starting N-S
Thursday: Apply operations/overlays to items starting T-Z

My thought was possibly aggregate recently modified/added items by watching the media directories so only those items are updated so that PMM can run a complete cycle less often. This would help with larger libraries.

Unnamed user: The problem is not "how to figure out what the new things are"; the problems are things like overlays that rely on external lists. A typical example is the IMDB 250. You add a new movie, and it gets the IMDB 250 overlays. That might mean that another movie shouldn't have it, so you have to process that whole overlay to figure out if that's true or accept that you might now have an extra movie in the library with that overlay, and that doesn't get cleaned up until you do a full run sometime. Add to that the fact that PMM currently doesn't have the concept of adding or removing a single overlay means that you very quickly end up just running the whole process anyway.
This will take a redesign of how overlays work. It's not as simple as "just run overlays on the new stuff", at least not for all overlays.

Also allow selected items (like if I change a poster for a specific title and want to update the overlays on just that poster/item)
